MyAppointment can automatically create a Zoom meeting and include the join link whenever someone books a video meeting with you. This guide covers adding the integration, what happens once it’s connected, and how to remove it.
Adding Zoom
- Sign in to MyAppointment and go to Settings → Calendar & video.
- In the Video conferencing section, click Connect Zoom.
- You’ll be redirected to Zoom to sign in and approve the permissions MyAppointment requests: create, update, and cancel meetings on your account, and read your basic account email to confirm which account is connected. MyAppointment never sees your Zoom password.
- Zoom redirects you back to MyAppointment, where Settings will show “Zoom connected” with your account email.
Using Zoom
Once connected, any meeting type set to a video location with no link of its own will use Zoom automatically. When someone books:
- MyAppointment creates a Zoom meeting under your connected account and includes the join link in the booking confirmation, the calendar invite, and your MyAppointment dashboard.
- If the booking is rescheduled, the Zoom meeting’s time updates to match — the join link stays the same, so anyone who already saved it keeps a working link.
- If the booking is cancelled, the Zoom meeting is removed.
If you also have Google Calendar connected, MyAppointment prefers an auto-created Google Meet link for video bookings; Zoom is used automatically as the fallback whenever a Meet link isn’t available.
Removing Zoom
- Go to Settings → Calendar & video.
- In the Zoom row, click Disconnect.
This deletes MyAppointment’s stored access to your Zoom account and revokes the app’s permission on Zoom’s side. Meetings already created for upcoming bookings are not automatically removed — cancel the individual booking in MyAppointment (or remove the meeting directly in Zoom) if you want those cleared out too.
Data and permissions
See our Privacy Policy (Section 4, Zoom) for exactly what MyAppointment accesses and how it’s stored. In short: only what’s needed to manage meetings tied to your own bookings — no recordings, chat, contacts, or account-wide settings.
